Yeah, at this stage of the game, Maia will either blow through someone on the ground, or it's this exact fight, like you said.

Yeah the early announcers were calling it a brunch card. Mimosas, crepes, and knockouts, baby!

0 for 49 on takedowns in his last three fights! A Reddit commenter has him at 1 for 67 against the six All-American wrestlers he's faced (Sonnen, Munoz, Weidman, Woodley/Covington/Usman).

Damn, it's tough for BJJ specialists when they don't have good wrestling. This is the same issue that Dern will have when she fights top contenders. I hope the UFC gives Maia some opponents he has a chance against in his last few fights, especially since he's 40 and not really a contender anymore.

I taped last night's card and just watched the main event. So long, Demian- I always looked forward to his fights but it certainly looks like the end of the line for him. Any other fights that were particularly worth watching?

I would watch the first 2 on the prelims and the 2 before the main event, definitely. Also, the Luque KO and the Moreno/Pantoja fight are worth watching. I didn't notice if they replayed the first Fight Pass fight on the network broadcast, but the finish of that was insane.
