    The Cubs

Not because I particularly want to Talk Chicago Cubs 2012; I just wanted to be like the other cool kids. Let's face it, the Cubs are probably gonna suck this year, but while copyright law prohibits me from branding this a LegendLock(TM), let there be no doubt among Cub Nation that Theo will deliver that elusive third world championship to the north side of Chicago. Or he will die trying.

Thumbs up to the clever thread title.
Blog is back. Get it while it still exists!

Latest post from 11/13/18: 9 Amazing Facts About Lions that Will Shock - I'll admit, I kind of phoned this one. But the lion facts are 100% real and the Lion King images are 100% without permission.

    That sounds like a threat.

No kidding. It's a welcomed and complete opposite approach of those who think a witty team thread title works for more than about 15 seconds.
Props to James. And although it's clearly too late for you, for your sake I hope the Cubs win a World Series in your kids' lifetimes.

His kids may prove surprisingly long-lived, if genetics has anything to say about it.

Epstein and Cashman did a really cool appearance at a college the other day and said a lot of things that boiled down to "we respect the hell out of each other, but we're each really, really happy the other is no longer our direct competitor." They also told the story of Theo trying to trade Shea Hillenbrand for Nick Johnson, before Theo realized, no, he really can't trade with the Yankees (Yankees fans have been placing bets on when we finally get our first Cashman-Epstein trade, especially now that Hendry's got his sinecure in the Bronx).

More of a friendly heads-up, if you catch my drift.

The Cubs have signed 19-year-old Cuban lefty Gerardo Concepcion to a "multi-year" deal valued at $7 million.

    19-year-old or "19"-year-old?

    Gerardo Concepción or "Gerardo" "Concepción"?
