7-1 and our big expensive offseason acquisition won Player of the Week.

Donnie Hendley threw a complete game shutout, too.

And actually, he did it without striking out a single batter. He didn't strike anybody out in his first start, either. Through 14.2 innings he's been Mr Everything But The Three True Outcomes, giving up zero dingers, striking out zero batters, and walking just two.

Content with our 4-4 start, especially our season opening sweep of Beaverton (!). If we can continue to show promise and threaten for a playoff spot, we may have to unload some assets to make a run. Obviously we're too early for such talk, but a .500 start and seeing struggles of the traditional heavyweights has Dakota fans feeling more optimistic for the season than anytime in recent memory!

I knew it was a bit of a gamble signing Atkins, but two innings, TWO?

Not an innings-eater or a carbohydrates eater - this must be the new Atkins Diet.

Reminds me of my former first-round draft pick Jose Chavez. The number of months he's lost each season:
    2029-30 - 11 month injury
    2031 - 5 month injury
    2032 - 5.5 months of injuries (2)
    2033 - 2 months of injuries (6)
    2034 - 4 months of injuries (3)
2035 - two weeks of Spring Training and two weeks of the regular season (so far)

Daron Cox finally collected his 3,000th hit this past sim. Unfortunately, he just cannot play the field anymore and is going to be relegated to pinch-hitting duty. Gil Harris will take over starting duties at first.

Ok, well, 3-3 is an improvement, and at least Tony Farmer finally had the decency to tell me he was offended by my offer, the offer we agreed to two weeks ago.

Temiz finally had a decent start in his third outing after getting torched for 7 runs in his opener, then lasting 3 batters before leaving with a dead arm in his second. His third start saw him go 6 innings and allow 3 runs with no walks and 3 K's and brought his ERA down to a tidy 8.74.

Seth Smathers is 4-37. Meanwhile, our top prospect Darren Garrison, is hitting .303/.343/.364 while playing five different positions including shortstop. I like Garrison as a supersub and he only wants to be a bench player while Smathers expects to start, but at some point soon there will need to be a change. But we currently have three regulars OPSing below .400, so

Now you just have to leak this to the media, hand out batteries before his next home start, and let the fans take care of the rest!
