    1966 Season

Miami lost Rick Wise early last season to a partially torn UCL, and he was gone for 11 months. I really didn't know what to expect from him in this, his 20-year old (and 4th!) season. He's rebounded decently so far: 20 starts, 14-2 record, 1.80 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, and in 150 innings he's allowed just seven homers and has walked 12 batters while striking out 174.

With the starting rotation having a combined age of 82, Miami fans can look forward to some great pitching for the foreseeable future. I think I need to lower the ticket prices a bunch, however, as total attendance is less than a third of Houston's.

Man I'd hate to be Vern Fuller, he was the only member of the Firebird starting lineup to miss the All-star game.

It will be interesting to see Miami's pitching versus Atlanta's hitting in the playoffs.

New Orleans may not be in the playoff hunt, but they're a big part of the playoff stretch in the CLW! 4 games against Seattle and Houston, 3 games against Denver...

It is currently $800,000. MLB's is $1.06m. We're at 75% of MLB finances right now and I haven't decided exactly what we'll do next year but that ratio will definitely climb again, maybe to 80-90%. So somewhere in the vicinity of $1m.
