Well, I was going to leave Mel Ott in the minors for a season, but even in AAA he's got that little green arrow by his name. Normally I don't pay attention to those arrows but in this case I'm terrified not to.

One absolutely horrible sim following two really good sims. I really don't know what I have with this team. We could win the pennant again or we could finish barely above .500 or anywhere in between.

Did we ever do awards for the 1925 season? There's none in the history

That's weird. It might be related to the fact that the indy leagues think it's still 1925. This league is being held together with bubble gum and popsicle sticks.

I don't remember voting for it though, I was paying attention because I thought Hoyt had a good shot to be PotY

His pitching was off to a great start, a FIP- if 68! But then he suffered a torn labrum and his career is over

Chappie Pitcher is basically indestructible. He takes his turn every three days, puts in 54 starts a year, and never, ever, ever gets hurt. 11 years ago, as a minor leaguer, he did sit out one day with the flu. That's the only blemish on his entire professional career. Over the last 7 seasons, Chappie has put up WAR totals of 8.8, 8.9, 8.4, 10.1, 9.0, 10.8, 10.8, and has 7.5 WAR this season with 37 games left on the schedule. He's 219-89 as a Highlander and will top 100 career WAR early in the 1927 season. He has a real chance to put himself into the conversation as the greatest pitcher in TCBA history when it's all said and done. If the grim reaper did come for Chappie, the whole New York franchise might spin into the ditch. Their offense sucks and no one wants to know how the league's best defense would function without his superlative talents.

Well, Milwaukee is no longer in first place, having finally been passed by one of the two teams with a (much) better run differential. Thankfully, Cincinnati continues to be unable to get out of their own way. Just have to hope that continues for another 39 games!

Ugh with George Uhle out for the season, it looks like we at least got out of your way.
