My interest has waned a lot at the Diamond level where my teams are generally middle-of-the-pack to worse and neither get relegated nor make very many points. I'm generally okay with sucking at a game - I played Dungeon Crawl for months before I ever beat it - but something about having these cool historical players from some of their best years on my teams but having them all just be hitting .230/.300/.400 just isn't that enjoyable. Obviously that's the outcome you get when everybody has a staff of aces, but it's still lacking in fun factor.

Yeah, I'm afraid that's going to happen to me too. We're all just going to Peter Principle ourselves, and then it's not fun.

There is something cool about getting peak Frankie Frisch at auction and installing him in your leadoff spot. He's only a 72, but he's Frankie Frisch. But I am afraid I will quickly hit the limits of free to play, and then it won't be fun anymore. Does everyone start fresh with OOTP 20?

This game did eat up my afternoon. I guess that's what shiny new toys do.

It's very fun for a while, and then intermittently fun when you add new players. My pack-opening team got its first 100 player this season and it's been fun watching him put up big numbers. (I didn't know until this season that you get a bunch of PP for having the All-Star game MVP!)

From what I can tell, these leagues will keep going, but yeah, there will be new OOTP20 leagues and everyone starts anew. You can't bring your OOTP19 team to the OOTP20 Perfect Team system.

My understanding is that it will start over, but anyone who bought PP with real money will get those points back. So there will immediately be a bunch of whales with a ton to spend.

They're certainly floating around. I just lost to a team in the entry league with five gold players in the starting lineup.

I think I seem like that team in my bronze league, but really I just used what I learned from the first go-round to build a team that destroys the bronze league.
