And on top of it all, they hired a teenager to run the place.

LA has exported. Good luck to Chicago.

I fucking did it again. What a disaster. In game one, it started an unrested Rico Chavez, who went 4 1/3 scoreless innings before we finally got the game's first run in the top of the 8th, when Luis Garza gave up two runs on two hits and three walks to blow it. He'd have been pitching in that situation anyway, so I can only throw my hands up there.

In game two, it decided to turn to the bullpen and start Brad Craig, who did make 14 starts on the year but now was a middle reliever, and he got torched for 5 runs in under 2 innings. We chipped away with a run here and a run there and miraculously tied it in the 8th. And then Garza gave up a run in the 10th for his second loss in two games, one fewer loss than he had in 62 regular season games.

In game three, it started yet another middle reliever, this time Mack Burbidge, who is only still on my roster because he's 25 and out of options but had a Blutarskian 0.0 WAR this year. So of course he threw 5 scoreless innings. We took a two-run lead into the ninth and Garza ... shut them down for the save.

And so now we find ourselves down 2 games to one, like we did in our last four series against Houston this year, with an extremely rested rotation (but a very tired Garza). We have two more games at home, with Victor Romero and Rico Chavez going, and I would say they are both must-wins because we can't go back to Houston needing to take both of the last two games. Beaverton is exported and this time I am absolutely, 100% certain that I have set up my rotation properly. Christ.

Houston is exported. Is it for Game 7? Is it for the Test of Strength?

Stay tuned, we'll be back after these messages ...
