    50 Books for 2016

We had one person clear 50 last year, Dwolf who has a nice streak going now considering he was over 60 in 2014 year along with al-urdun (who is in the mists of history). Sixto cleared 40 and then we had a couple 30 clearers, a 25, and the rest. Collectively, we hit 240! A good show overall with some really good reading lists. This may be amended, with some lists not recently updated.

So, let's do this all over again (again!). My goal is to make 50 again but that is becoming less realistic but I can definitely hit 40 and I have a nice pile of books at home waiting for me. Good luck everyone!!!

    Could I get this stickied?

Latest post from 11/13/18: 9 Amazing Facts About Lions that Will Shock - I'll admit, I kind of phoned this one. But the lion facts are 100% real and the Lion King images are 100% without permission.

    2017 NFL Loser’s Pool Champion!

He’d leave little notes for himself saying ‘You are not a chicken,’ although sometimes he thought he hwas lying.

I understand that and fully understand that and I think we had a previous President who did not understand that but I understand that and we have spoken about this before.

Please note this post was made by the 2012 NFL Losers Pool Champion.

I am going to cheat like a mofo in this thread, because I'm currently ripping through a giant stack of light and fluffy mysteries. I'll include the books of the series I read last year since I didn't participate in that thread.

-3. Margery Allingham - The Crime at Black Dudley 2/10. Introduces main character of the series, who is not the main character in this book.
    -2. Margery Allingham - Mystery Mile 4/10
-1. Margery Allingham - Look to the Lady 8/10
    0. Margery Allingham - Police at the Funeral 7/10, with bonus horrifying racism as a major contributor to the book's conclusion.
    1. Margery Allingham - Sweet Danger 6/10
    2. Margery Allingham - Death of a Ghost 9/10 and the first book that's a proper mystery instead of an adventure story.
    3. Margery Allingham - Flowers for the Judge 8/10
    4. Margery Allingham - The Case of the Late Pig 8/10 Odd switch to the first person for this book only. Don't know that I've ever seen a series do that before.
    5. Margery Allingham - Dancers in Mourning 10/10 Much more character-driven, and a brilliant mystery.
    6. Margery Allingham - The Fashion in Shrouds 7/10 Good as a mystery, fascinating as a look at competing 1930's (largely problematic) perspectives on relationships between men and women.
    7. Margery Allingham - Traitor's Purse The one with amnesia. An interesting twist on the character.
    8. David Helfand - A Survival Guide to the Misinformation Age In progress. Disappointing so far. (Now slightly less disappointing.)
    9. Margery Allingham - Coroner's Pidgin 8/10.
