I ended up voting for 9 players, and I'm greatly relieved to see backstops Daryl Stone, a longtime Steamer, and Jake Tanner both batting 1.000 in the early voting. Catchers of Stone and Tanner's quality are rare as hen's teeth. Two great players at baseball's most brutal position.

I have a bit more discriminating palate. :-) Only voted for 3:

    Gobert
    Purington
    Sabo

I was looking up the players in-game and Squanto Sabo didn't come up using the search function, did he get deleted from the game file?

He can be found on the transactions screen where it shows he retired on the current date, but when you click on his name it takes you to the page of a Jim Unknown. When sorting for "List All TCBA Players" and checking the box for "retired players," his career stats no longer show along with all the retirees. That is worrisome.

Edit: Dad Hyslop retired as well and his name on the transactions screen also links to a "Jim Unknown."

If I read it right ( and thats debatable on a phone screen, the catcher with the highest win shares only has one vote?

He doesn't show up on the leaderboards either. TMKUTGW!

Optimistically, maybe this is just an issue with the retired.dat that gets sent out to the rest of us but not Hotblack's original.

I definitely hope it's the latter as the Detroit GM will have a conniption along with the champions from Seattle, if there's a re-sim.

Oh, you probably need the retired.dat file. I usually include that with every file but I think I was leaving it out in the playoffs.

9 ballots cast and Squanto Sabo is the only candidate batting 1.000.

Whoever failed to vote for Purington...
